view projectLH, the national association of equestrian associations in Iceland, has an application called LH Kappi to display events related to the Icelandic horse such as tournaments and breeding shows. The app is available on the Google Play Store and Apple App store.
The Problem
LH Kappi had not worked properly after a new android version was released. First and foremost they needed help with getting the app up and running again but they also wanted some new features added. The app had been set up in React Native which we at Bonsai are experts in.
How we solved it
First we needed to get access to the code for the application. We then updated a lot of React Native packages and code since the app had not been serviced for a while. After that we could properly diagnose the problem and add the features that the team at LH wanted. We then pushed the new build onto the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. We have since then maintained the app and added new features on demand.
What was created
Since we first started working for LH Kappi we have updated their codebase for their app, we fixed the Android 10 bugs, added advertising banners that LH can control from their backend, added analytics tools and improved their codebase up to standards. The app is widely used by people in all over the world who follow competition around the Icelandic Horse.
